This demo tests the smilText features of SMIL 3.0. It also tests multi-channel audio plus the soundLevel attribute, with a
volume level setting of 50% on the background audio. This version provides conventional buttons that access all of the current plug-in's functionality.
The smilText examples used in this presentation were originally created to debug the SMIL 3.0 standard -- they hardly represent common practice. A version of
this demo with and without smilText is provided in the "Extras" folder of the AMBULANT installation directory.
The source material was shot on location in New York and gives a glimpse of the earliest years of SMIL's development. The musical
sound track features Mel Torme singing Billy Joel's 'New York State of Mind' -- it is used by permission of the encoding owner.
